2. Legal bases
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and the BDSG. Processing is carried out only where permitted by law, in particular:
- based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR)
- for contract performance or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR)
- to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR)
- to protect our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), provided your interests do not override these
For job applications, processing is carried out under § 26 BDSG.
3. Duration of storage
Personal data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected.
- Website usage data: end of session
- Server log files: max. 14 days (longer only in case of security incidents, then anonymised where possible)
4. Categories of recipients
We may use service providers (processors), including hosting providers, IT maintenance, communication services, accounting, and document destruction services.
These processors act strictly on our instructions and are contractually bound under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.
In addition, data may be disclosed to:
- postal and delivery services
- banks
- tax advisors and auditors
- public authorities
5. Data transfer to third countries
Where personal data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, this is done in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Transfers are based on:
- EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR), or
- other appropriate safeguards, or
- in exceptional cases, Art. 49 GDPR
